Oliver, Jeniffer’s boyfriend, had done very poorly in the local event.  He was distracted by something but Jeniffer, despite her best efforts, couldn’t tease out the information.  He was downright evasive at times and hinted at asker her the “Big Question”.  Jeniffer, assumed the question was of marriage, but wasn’t entirely sure and decided not to push things.

He disappeared to the city for over a week and returned, secretly, in a horse trailer.  As he stepped off, she caught sight of his new form.  He’d become a centaur, too.  But how had he afforded the transformation.  Centaur transformations weren’t exactly cheap.  She fixed Nancy with a cold stare and received an evasive look in return.

As Oliver stepped backwards from the trailer, he turned to face her.  He was exactly her height now!  He trotted over to her and swept her up in his arms.  After a long and very thrilling kiss, he stepped back and took her hand.

“Jeniffer,” he asked with a very earnest (and almost worried) look.  “Will you marry me?”

What could she say to that but “Yes”?  It wasn’t every day that your boyfriend became a centaur to be able to pop the question.
